André Simard

1926 — 2021

André Simard was a French designer trained at the École Nationale Supérieure des Arts Décoratifs, active בעיקר in the 1950s. Close to contemporaries such as Pierre Guariche and Alain Richard, he developed refined, functional furniture combining wood and metal with clean, modern lines.

He collaborated with publishers including Airborne, Disderot, and Meubles TV, while also producing his own designs. From the late 1950s onward, he shifted toward interior architecture, notably working with Roche Bobois.
