Jérôme Potier
1925 — 2007
Jérôme Potier (Toulouse 1925–2007) first worked at Sud Aviation as an industrial draftsman from 1950 to 1960. In 1961, as a self-taught artist, he set himself up as a ceramist at 27 Impasse Lapujade in Toulouse. He initially worked on clay tiles and, in 1968, chose lava stone as his medium.
Together with his wife Colette, he founded the Terrémail workshop within the Aérospatiale Works Council. Jérôme Potier worked there until his retirement as a facilitator and screen printer.
Among his most notable works are the decoration of a tobacco shop at 81 Route de Blagnac, Toulouse, and the Lycée Ozenne at 9 Rue Merly, Toulouse.
