MIREILLE MOSER
Terre en Lumière

This monographic exhibition dedicated to Mireille Moser, held at our space at 31 rue de Seine, unveils 21 new works. Drawing inspiration from the mineral landscapes of the Drôme Provençale, the artist has, for the first time, introduced glass into her creations of chamotte stoneware. The combination of these two materials, one opaque and colored, the other transparent and luminous, gives rise to unique compositions where contrasts are magnified. The ceramist skillfully masters the relationships of mass and density, blending these elements into works of great aesthetic power.
Light plays a crucial role in Mireille Moser's artistic exploration. Fractured by the roughness of the glass blocks, it reveals the sculptures in darkness, offering the earth a singular nocturnal existence. The glass gradually fades away, allowing light to emanate from the earth itself, soft and fluid. It then traces a subtle path on the surface of the works, highlighting the volumes and giving the whole a nearly magical dimension.
