History:

The OP lamp by Jean-Pierre Lorence is one of the very rare French examples of so-called kinetic lighting, in which light moves beyond its primary function to become sculpture. Through its optical play and almost shifting presence, it belongs to the research of the 1960s and 1970s around perception, movement and luminous space.

To our knowledge, this example is the only one currently identified on the market, which makes it an exceptional piece at the crossroads of experimental design and kinetic art.
