“Asmara” modular sofa by Bernard Govin, designed in 1966 and produced by Roset.
This sofa is more than just a sofa: it’s a true living space modular, ergonomic, and exceptionally beautiful. In its central configuration, friends and family can gather and relax together, or create more intimate spaces for conversation, watching a movie, or reading. In its split configuration, it offers an infinite variety of seating arrangements, each as elegant as it is comfortable.
The Asmara single-handedly embodies the revolutionary philosophy that emerged in the 1960s and transformed lifestyles. It is a new art of living that Bernard Govin brings to life through this sofa.
A legendary and historic piece, and extremely rare, the Asmara was produced by Roset for only two years. Very few units were sold, which makes it particularly difficult today to find such a
complete set.
