History:

Designed by Jean-Pierre Vitrac around 1970 and edited by Verre Lumière, the Fleur lamp is one of the most striking examples of French lighting design from the early 1970s. Made in chromed or stainless steel, the lamp opens like a mechanical flower, transforming a functional object into a sculptural and kinetic presence. Its articulated petals reflect and diffuse the light, creating a play of brilliance and shadow that gives the piece a spectacular, almost theatrical quality.

Verre Lumière, one of the most important French lighting editors of the period, collaborated with leading designers and architects to explore new forms, materials and lighting effects. With Fleur, Jean-Pierre Vitrac fully embraces this experimental spirit: the lamp becomes both an object of design and a luminous sculpture, embodying the bold, futuristic elegance of the 1970s.
