History:

The Structura daybed, designed around 1970 by Bernard Govin and produced by Dunlopillo, embodies the avant-garde spirit of a generation of young designers seeking renewal. From the mid-1960s onwards, Bernard Govin devoted himself to designing bedroom furniture and created numerous pieces with decidedly futuristic lines. His collaborations with manufacturers such as Dunlopillo and Mondial who supplied him with foam and plastic materials that had recently been introduced into the furniture industry gave him great freedom of form and paved the way for bold experimentation. The tinted Altuglas structure reflects the enthusiasm for synthetic materials at the time. Combined with a visionary aesthetic, it gives this model a unique character that makes it a rare piece today.
