PAOLOZZI Louis
Louis Paolozzi is a french furniture designer with italian origin. He is best known for his seating drawings ; chairs, armchairs, sofa and pieces of furniture. From the beginning his creations evoke the italan designs from the same period. He worked for several editors such as René Godfried, Monopoly and especially Zol ( formerly called Zolads père et fils ) for whom he drew different models from the 50’s to the beginning of the 70’s. He takes part in many Salon des Artsistes Décorateurs ( SAD ). In 1968 he was awarded the prestigious René Gabriel prize, most prestigious award for the furniture design for its Rondo set edited by Zoladz. This award is the equivalent of the italian Compasso d’Oro.
