CHARPENTIER Jacques
Jacques Charpentier (1918-1986) is a French decorator and editor. He studied at the Boulle School and graduated in 1945. He began his career by creating a workshop in Paris, where he designed decorative objects. From 1960, he designed stainless steel sofas. At the end of 1970, his company had nearly sixty employees. Jacques Charpentier collaborated with the manufacturer Flat International and notably edited the work of the designer Pierre Folie. With Maison Jansen, the decorator worked on many interior design projects. When he died in 1986, Jacques Charpentier’s children take over the company.
